Bringing UAS to America's Skies

Duval I Range

A topography map of the Duval 1 range (left), which contains some estuaries along its boundaries (right)

Duval 1 has been proposed to FAA as a UAS test range immediately west of Padre Range. Its northern and eastern boundaries skirt critical estuarine habitat along Baffin Bay and the Laguna Madre. It runs almost 41 miles north to south along its common border with Padre. Its greatest east-west width is almost 21 miles along its southern border. Away from the coast, the topography of Duval 1 is sparsely populated coastal plain devoted to agriculture, ranching and energy production.
