Brandon is responsible for LSUASC’s Aviation Safety Program. The Aviation Safety Program is an integral part of Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi’s (TAMUCC) efforts to integrate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into the National Airspace (NAS). Brandon was integral on the System Safety Evaluation Board (SSEB) for a large UAS critical infrastructure project ensuring safe operational procedures and testing with an oil and gas client. Prior to joining the Lone Star, Brandon served as the UAS Operations Officer with the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade (ACB), 1st Cavalry Division (1CD), Fort Hood Texas. His responsibilities included the establishing two of the US Army’s first three MQ-1C Gray Eagle trained and equipped units. Additionally, Brandon conducted RQ-11 Raven qualification training for the Division's deploying Soldiers. His 24-years of military service include the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army with 6 combat deployments. Brandon holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts (English Literature), and Aviation Safety Certification.
