Kim R. Hanley is a UAS Pilot for the Lone Star Unmanned Aerial Systems Center (LSUASC) of Excellence and Innovation, Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Prior to joining the LSUASC team, Mr. Hanley was Chief Pilot for Praxis Aerospace in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Hanley holds an FAA commercial pilot, instrument flight instructor, multi-engine and UAS Part 107 certifications. Mr. Hanley spent 9 years as a air traffic controller in the United States Air Force and has over 38 years of experience as an air traffic instructor. He has over 12,000 flight hours as a manned pilot and over 3000 flight hours as an unmanned pilot. He has flown multi-rotor unmanned aircraft and fixed wing aircraft throughout the countries of Iraq and Afghanistan. Throughout his career he has learned to complete missions from several different perspectives, including an aircraft operator, payload operator, crew chief, and mission coordinator.
